Cubone Mask
2017
This mask was made primarily as a quick project to test my streaming setup.

Like all my masks, I start with a paper sculpt

I coat the paper sculpt in rondo, a mix of fiberglass resin and bondo body filler, to give it some rigidity

In order to draft a pattern, I cover the sculpt with aluminum foil, then I cover that with tape

The foil is now completely covered in tape

The tape/foil piece can now be removed. This will become a pattern

The pattern has now been cut flat

These are part of a foam skull cap. The original pattern was drafted during a different project.

The mask was sealed with Plastidip, which was then painted with Krylon spray paint
